Why?

Because I am a winemaker.
I’ve been running my own wine business for a decade. I’ve helped a dozen winemakers start their own wine brands in my incubation program; and I once paid a distributor $105 per case so I could make $7 profit when I got paid in 3 months, or when they felt like paying me.

I did that because I thought that was how things were done in the wine industry.

Spoiler - it doesn’t have to be.

I studied marketing and sales programs from other industries and applied what I learnt in my own business. That changed everything for me.

I was just like you. I knew how to make wine, but I thought selling was beyond me. I was wrong.

When I learnt how to sell I gained confidence.
Then, when I learnt to systemise my own sales and campaigns,
I gained freedom.

I went from constantly stressed, hoping for sales and wondering if my agent would prioritise my wines to owning all of my own relationships, knowing my customers, and trusting my systems.

I took control of my own story.
